Anour is a danish design company that manufactures handcrafted quality lamps for the discerning customer. Arash Nourinejad attended The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, School of Architecture before developing his lamp company, Anour, in 2007 in Copenhagen. The mission of the company is to combine danish craftsmanship with LED technology.
The name Anour is derived from the founders name and in short means light in Farsi. Anours lamps are uncompromising design, visionary functionality, quality and exquisite materials.
The company is based on sustainability in design, production and technology and focus on the proud traditions of craftsmanship and work hard to preserve danish made designs as a central part of their identity.
Arash Nourinejad wants to combine traditional danish materials, methods, and values with current technology to manufacture unique bronze lamps for the scandinavian homes – and has created three versions of a model called the ‘A-light’.
Each version caters to specific needs and settings. The original is designed for rectangular tables, while the 3- and 4-tiered lamps are made for circular and square countertops. Each piece is handcrafted by a local brazier who has worked with brass, copper, and bronze materials for decades. The natural colouring processes of browning, oxidising, and polishing ensure that the quality of the works do not deteriorate over time. A clear coat of paint is also added as a further preservation technique.
