The unique fashion designs from Skröbelig by Kitt Buch are mostly made in organic forms as hybrids between art and fashion. Kitt Buch aims to make designs that are wearable for the everyday consumer, mixing experimental and more commercial garments.
Skröbelig is danish for fragile. Skröbelig by Kitt Buch is a different way of thinking fashion. Rather than following the whims of the fast fashion industry, she trives to create an emotional bond between consumer and product. The items should be worn lovingly both as part of everyday life and for special occasions. She hopes that the owners of her designs care for the items for years, rather than throwing them in the trash bin the first time a stitch is needed.
The designs are modified to suit the changing needs and identities of the wearer, thus securing the versatility and longevity of the design. The concept Skröbelig by Kitt Buch builds on thorough research. On one side it is based on finding and using the best possible, preferably sustainable, materials. On the other, it is based on understanding how sustainability can become part of fashion aesthetics.
All items are personally created in her workshop in Central Copenhagen and mostly made by sustainable materials like upcycled wool, upcycled leather and GOTS certified cotton. Her goal and dream is to find a more sustainable way to make fashion!
